Sales of ABILIFY® (aripiprazole) Tablets 1, for schizophrenia (approval was received from the FDA in November 2002) and acute manic and mixed episodes associated with Bipolar I Disorder (approval was received from the FDA in September 2004), exceeded U.S. $1 billion within its first four years on the market.

Sales of PLETAL® (cilostazol) Tablets 2, the Otsuka-developed treatment for intermittent claudication approved by the FDA in January 1999, increased the company's revenues significantly since the product was launched. Annual revenues nearly quadrupled over the period 1999 to 2000 and more than doubled in 2001.  Sales of PLETAL in 2002, 2003 and 2004 continued a dramatic growth trend. In addition, Otsuka has a co-promotion agreement with Santarus, Inc. for the sale of ZEGERID® (omeprazole/sodium bicarbonate) 3 which received NDA approval in June 2004.

OAPI's product portfolio is focused primarily in the areas of cardiovascular, neuroscience and gastrointestinal areas. In order to meet the needs of the physicians and other healthcare professionals within these areas, OAPI has hired and trained specialty sales forces for each. If you are an experienced medical representative with knowledge in these areas, and are interested in career opportunities with OAPI's cardiovascular, neuroscience or gastrointestinal specialty sales forces, please visit the "Careers" section on this Web Site to view positions which are currently available.
